AutoIQ

A car valuation that shows what changes the number.

I built AutoIQ around the frustrating part of online trade-in tools: they produce a price without showing how the exact vehicle, mileage, condition, title, and market listings shaped it.

VEHICLE INTELLIGENCE

Know what your
car is worth.

Decode the VIN, add its real condition, and compare three ways to sell.

17 / 17 characters · No account needed

Run the real three-step appraisal flow and compare sale paths.

Why I made it

A single estimate is not useful when the assumptions are invisible. I wanted the appraisal to begin with the VIN and preserve the vehicle context instead of treating every visit as a disposable form.

What I built

I built a seven-route product for VIN decoding, guided condition inputs, market ranges, saved garages, valuation history, seller handoff, and a Chrome extension that carries vehicle data into listing workflows.

Where it landed

AutoIQ turns a one-time quote into a reusable vehicle record with a visible value range. The interface makes the path from VIN to appraisal understandable without requiring an account.

Technical challenge

Vehicle data is fragmented across decoding, listings, condition inputs, and seller sites; the product has to preserve identity through every handoff.

My contribution

I built the seven-route Next.js product, Supabase data model, external vehicle-data integrations, appraisal flow, saved garage, history views, and Chrome extension handoff.

What the product actually does.

DECODE

VIN to usable vehicle record

NHTSA data turns seventeen characters into year, make, model, trim, and specifications that remain attached to the appraisal.

VALUE

A range with visible assumptions

Mileage, condition, title, history, and comparable listings adjust trade-in, private-party, and market values instead of hiding behind one number.

WORKFLOW

Garage, history, and seller handoff

Saved vehicles keep their valuation history, while a Chrome extension carries the record into listing and instant-offer workflows.
